Regional Head of Environmental Liability

We are looking for a Regional Head of Environmental Liability (EIL)
- based in London.

**Your Team**
Our team is committed to support the global strategy to ensure the successful achievement of AGCS targets. Your main stakeholders are brokers and clients, the EIL Lines team in the Region as well as Distribution. One person will report to you and assist you in the daily business.

**The Impact You Will Have**
Based in London and reporting directly to the Head of Liability you will be in charge of developing and executing the regional strategy for EIL across the Regional Unit London region. In this role, you will manage the Regional EIL portfolio to ensure the successful achievement of the global targets.

**Some of your specific responsibilities could include**
- Lead the Regional Underwriting Strategy
- Steer and control the regional business portfolio to drive achievement of financial targets as well as manage budget within plan
- Drive underwriting planning processes and monitor adherence to plan, taking corrective action as necessary
- Proactively liaise with functional areas to review performance of end-to-end Underwriting life cycle
- Work closely with Distribution, Claims and other product lines to achieve key marketing strategies, including cross
- selling
- Ensure underwriting consistency and underwriting discipline and adherence to all corporate guidelines and authority levels, including Rules and Principles, Underwriting Authorities, corporate governance rules, and local regulatory framework
- Pproactively support the development and implementation of new and/or modified products
- Support the acquisition of new business and retention of existing business (including client and broker negotiations where necessary)
- Represent AGCS internally within the Allianz Group, and externally to the market

**What You’ll Bring to the Role**
- At least 10 years’ experience underwriting or pricing of profitable Environmental Impairment Liability (EIL) business for corporate clients
- Expert knowledge of the markets
- Proven successful leadership skills
- Expertise in risk assessment and a firm understanding of policy administration life cycle
- Proven knowledge of pricing, together with strong market analysis skills
- Expertise in portfolio management and firm understanding of liability reserving practices
- Profound knowledge in designing, developing, and implementing consistent and robust wordings
- Strong communication skills
- Able to work in an international matrix organisation
- Expertise to provide training and development of junior members of the team
