Dynamic and proactive, HSBC Global Procurement delivers tangible commercial value for HSBC. This leads to stronger approaches to measuring success, and ultimately ensures the Group operates ever more effectively.

The Head of Travel Operations & Events will work with the top senior leadership across the organization to establish targets and strategic planning for achieving assigned costs targets, sustainability programmes, management of Travel vendors and monitoring travel policy compliance, responsible for ensuring global alignment of staff and planning for travel services.

In this role, key priorities include:

- Developing, implementing, and managing the global services for Business Travel.
- Responsibility for formulating HSBC Global Travel strategy, evolving a Travel Organisation Structure and Policy/Procedures based upon best-in-class organisations.
- Managing the Travel Teams, newly implemented HSBC Global Travel booking systems and Travel Management Company, ensuring that the process is efficiently structured, to maximise the customer experience.
- Minimising risk associated with 3rd party spend and ensure the management of third parties (both TMC and direct travel providers) are managed effectively.
Requirements

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

- Exceptional Exec level stakeholder management experience
- Prior experience managing the Global Implementation of travel management systems and policies at a large organisation.
- Extensive Travel management systems (TMS) knowledge.
- Amex GBT or similar platform knowledge is desirable.
