Purpose Statement:
We are seeking a highly motivated Production Operator to join our team at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Livingston, UK. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute significantly to the growth and success of our new facility while developing your career within a global leader in electronics manufacturing.
As a Production Operator, you will play a vital role in supporting our manufacturing operations by efficiently and accurately producing high-quality products that meet customer requirements and deadlines. You will learn and develop your skills while contributing to a safe and productive work environment.
Key Job Accountabilities:
- Production Operations: Operate production equipment and processes following established procedures and work instructions. Assist in the creation and improvement of work instructions as needed.- Quality Assurance: Adhere to strict quality standards, monitor work for accuracy, and identify and escalate any quality issues.- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records, including timekeeping, production data, inventory, and quality documentation.- Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in improvement initiatives to enhance safety, efficiency, and product quality.- Training & Development: Learn and maintain proficiency in all required job skills and certifications. Train other team members as needed.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED preferred.- Previous experience in electronics production/manufacturing preferred.- Basic computer skills.- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and learn new tasks quickly.- Strong work ethic and a commitment to safety.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.- Ability to frequently reach, bend, kneel, and stoop.- Ability to lift up to 20.4 KG (45 lbs) and carry up to 4.5 KG (15 lbs).- Ability to use fine motor skills and hand tools.- Must meet visual acuity requirements as defined by industry standards and customer specifications.
