Experienced Butcher required

We are currently looking to recruit a Butcher with significant experience to work as part of our Farm Shop team working with the finest rare breed and native breed products in a busy farm retail environment. A minimum of 5 years Butchery experience is preferred, however the role may also suit an experienced chef looking for a career change and a chance to develop new skills.

You will be joining our butchery team with over 75 years combined experience in the trade, enabling the successful applicant to utilise and expand their knowledge and understanding of meat process from carcass to final sale product. A willingness to learn and adapt is essential.

The applicant will also have the opportunity to develop the specific knife skills required in Fish mongering, improving knowledge of locally sourced fish, crustaceans and molluscs.

The successful applicant must be able demonstrate the following;

- Good knowledge of Food hygiene process
- Good customer service skills
- General Health and safety awareness
- Willingness to Learn and commit to the role
- Excellent time keeping
- Good knife skills
