Electrical Project Engineer

**Dawson Levy Resourcing**currently have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Project Engineer to join a leading Water organisation on a permanent basis working within the Water Industry. **Role Overview**: An opportunity has arisen for an electrically biased Project Engineer, experienced at working as a key member of a team successfully delivering schemes of varying sizes predominately to the Water Industry in sewage and clean water. Reporting to the ProjectManager, you will work alongside the project delivery team to ensure the design, procurement, financial control and site activities are achieved. **Key Responsibilities**: - Outline engineering from inception to completion of schemes utilising in-house resources, site installation and construction personnel - Delivery of water M&E projects e.g. Pumping Stations, Dosing Systems, Chlorination plants & associated civil structures etc. - Early site investigation works in coordination with the client, design and project team - Production and review of health and safety documentation (risk assessments & method statements / Project management plans). - Procurement of materials - Attend/undertake factory, site and works testing, commissioning and client training - Attendance and input into internal and client design reviews - Working closely with the design team to gather all required information, participate in regular design reviews and Hazard Studies to develop the best solution - Involvement with cost to complete / budget reviews with the project delivery teams - Negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors - Involvement with preparation of subcontract orders - Assistance with the evaluation and submission of claims for variation works - Liaison with site manager and site teams to ensure work is completed to programme, budget and quality - Developing Inspection and Test Plans and ensuring they are completed as the scheme progresses - Innovation whilst maintaining compliance to current standards - Preparation & management of project programmes - Proactive approach to maintaining high standards of Health & Safety performance - To work with the team to develop and close out all contract documentation such as, "As built" drawings, Commissioning Manuals and Operation and Maintenance Manuals **Experience and Qualifications**: - An industry applicable electrical ONC/HNC/B.Eng or NVQ equivalent - Proven experience within the Water Industry - Chemical dosing experience desirable but not essential - Experience with ICA - ATEX experience desirable but not essential - Commercial and contractual awareness - Working knowledge of Microsoft packages including Project - Desire to understand and promote the Company purpose, vision, values and culture - Trustworthy and ethical approach, exercising discretion where required - Organised, structured and professional, with a passion for excellence - Flexibility, resilience and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels - Commitment to the provision of excellent customer service - Proven influencing and negotiation skills to both internal and external stakeholders - Experience of leading and managing functions where required **Our clients' benefits** We put our people first and our benefits package reflects that by offering a comprehensive range of attractive options to help support your career on top of a competitive salary. - Generous holiday entitlement, increasing with years of service, plus the opportunity to purchase further holidays - A wide range of corporate discounts - Childcare vouchers - Cycle to Work schemes - Comprehensive pension plan - Regular Save as You Earn share purchase scheme - Private medical scheme options are available for all salaried employees and our employee assistance programme also provides free 24/7 support to those who need it.
