We are seeking **Learning Support Staff** to **permanently** join our of our partner secondary schools in **Chadderton**. Have you got experience within an education setting and are looking for your next step? Then please get in touch.

The school has had a huge revelation in the last year thanks to the new SLT. They have fantastic behavior policies in place and provide encouraging support to staff. The school are hoping to help someone excel in the right position. The school has amazing facilities including a specialist SEN centre within the school.

**Your duties would include**
- To support the teacher / SEN department with preparation, display and general classroom duties, including the organisation and development of class planning.
- Make sure that the pupils you support are able to engage in learning and stay on task during the lesson or activity.
- To assist the teacher in creating and maintaining a purposeful, orderly and supportive learning environment
- Providing extra support for children with special educational needs.
- Attend to the pupils’ personal needs, and implement related personal programmes, including social, health, physical, hygiene, first-aid and welfare matters.
- Support the teacher in managing pupil behavior, reporting difficulties as appropriate.
- Prepare and maintain equipment/resources as directed by the teacher and assist pupils in their use.
- Drive and dedication
- A passion to teach children from 11 - 16
- A clear enhanced DBS _(we can help you with this)_
- Great understanding of Safeguarding and its importance
- Two education/school-based references
- Relevant experience with children
- Knowledge of the National Curriculum
