**House Assistant**
**Do you have experience of working in an office environment and are looking for your next challenge?**
The Diocese of Winchester is not only the people, churches and schools that make it up, but also an organisation that supports those communities and governs the Diocese. Founded in 676AD it is one of the five senior dioceses of the Church of England.
As a House Assistant, you will take responsibility for the daily processes to assist, administer and support The Houses Team in the care and maintenance of the diocesan property portfolio.
**Some of your duties will include;**
- Following the departure of clergy (and/or tenants), using the move checklist to complete action points, be responsible for updating Propman and to set up process actions relating to capturing meter readings and paying utility bills as necessary and updating the relevant authorities and departments in a timely manner
- Process all incoming mail relating to house moves, preparing payment of water and council tax following occupation / vacancy of the above
- Working under the direction of the Houses Manager to deal with minor works, sending out works orders in respect of emergency repairs and quote requests for other works to parsonage houses, glebe and other board properties
- To undertake other tasks as may reasonably be required by the Parish Support Manager and Operations and Governance Manager
**You need;**
- A demonstrable use of the English language in written communication and evidence of the ability to manipulate numbers to high standard is essential
- Experience of working in an office environment and remotely.
- Knowledge and experience of working in a large and complex organisation is desirable.
- A methodical approach to work, able to deal with detail and process
- A demonstrable team player with a collaborative working style
- Driving licence, access to own transport is essential
