We have an excellent career opportunity for the role of **Cook/Chef** to join our AMAZING team here at **our Lancaster House Care Home** based in **Watton, Norfolk.**

**Pay**: £12.50 to £14.50 depending on your previous Cook/Chef experience.

**Hours**: 36 to 40 hours per week (including alternative weekends).

**The role**

As our Cook you will play an important role in our busy, family-run care home of 30 beds, ensuring every mealtime we offer a range of well presented, healthy, balanced meals which our residents look forward to and enjoy eating.

You will be passionate about providing nutritious and appealing meals, creative and have a caring nature and a positive attitude, showing a desire to deliver the best possible standards for residents in our care. You will be an energetic, friendly team player with good organisation and time management skills and the ability to work under pressure effectively. You will be able to demonstrate compassion and empathy in your approach to residents with varying needs, tastes and dietary requirements.

You must have good awareness of the legislation to ensure compliance with Health & Safety in the kitchen, experience with developing nutritious menu's, staff rota and audit completion, managing the kitchen team while also being a team player with a genuine interest in working with our residents.

- Educated to NVQ 2 in Cooking or equivalent and have a food hygiene certificate, you will have experience of catering management in a care home or similar environment.

- Previous Cook experience for a minimum of 2 years
- A desire to genuinely help other people and make a difference.
- Flexible.
