**Job Description**:
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Senior Micropalaeontologist to join our Geology Group based in North Wales.

As a Senior Micropalaeontologist, you will collaborate with our team of multi-disciplinary geoscientists to generate and interpret geological data; compiling and synthesising results in order to provide innovative solutions to our clients challenging problems within the Energy Sector.

Principle Accountabilities
- Micropaleonotological logging, data review and interpretation, in the office and possibly also at wellsite
- Independent review and integration of biostratigraphic data in a regional geological context, providing interpretation and sequence stratigraphic correlations (using the softwares Stratabugs and IC)
- Understand and integrate other technical disciplines in order to gain detailed subsurface insights
- Be able to independently generate accurate and professional summaries related to basin evolution, regional geology, stratigraphy, and micropaleontology as a part of their deliverables
- Co-ordinate and manage projects that involve diverse data and stakeholders; ability to define and manage project deadlines
- Mentoring/coaching of more junior staff, providing feedback as and when required to aid their development
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the impact of data and technology, and the ability to identify and capitalize on technical and commercial opportunities for enhancement.
- Provision of both internal and external training programmes
- Contribute to business development for CGG
- Willingness to travel at times required for business_

**Qualifications**:
Educated to Degree, Masters or PhD level in Geology or Stratigraphy and experience working as a Stratigrapher in either a consultancy or operator environment.

- Wellsite picked micropalaeontologist experience, leading wellsite assignments and their logistics, communicating with the onsite team
- Strongly desirable: programming, data science, statistics, or related skills
