**About the role**:

- Responsible for inbound and outbound cash, bank processes and reconciliations
- Responsible for upload and submission of faster payments and direct debits
- Responsible for allocation of customer payments to their agreement
- Responding to all queries relating to bank accounts
- Ensuring cash and payments received are processed in a timely manner
- Working collaboratively in the Finance team to improve processes and deliver automation where possible
- Support the Financial Accountant when required

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring all cash and banking operations are completed in line with the agreed processes and procedures, ensuring management of financial risk and control
- Processing of payments to and from customers, introducers, suppliers in accordance with agreed procedures via faster payments and direct debits
- Maintaining daily records of all cash received and working closely with the Financial Accountant to update the cashflow and forecasts as appropriate
- Allocating customer payments and ensuring all sums received are posted to the correct agreement
- Perform regular reconciliations of all bank accounts ensuring that unidentified items are investigated and resolved and that the reconciliations are formally signed off
- Ensuring all control procedures and documentation associated with the preparation and processing of payments are completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Challenge existing processes and look to automate processes to improve control and drive efficiency
- **Systems knowledge**:Knowledge of Barclays, PanCredit, CODA and/or Sage Intacct would be advantageous
- **Skills**:Analytical, Good Communicator, Collaborative, Excel Skills is essential
- Ability to manage time effectively to ensure accurate submission of payments are made within required timeframes
- Adherence to processes, policies, and control framework as set out in the employee handbook and by line management

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
