Hybrid Structures specialize in timber and mixed material solutions so there will be a large verity of product knowledge in terms of steel, decking, Glulam, CLT LVL timber cassettes and the impact that these materials have on each other - on the job training will be given on all these products.

**What’s the role all about?**

As a 3D Modeler you will complete a variety of work related to the production and review of 3-D CAD models and the deliverables that come with them. Actual production of working models and drawing packages will be more occasional, but all modellers must possess all the skill to produce these as and when required.

As our **3D Modeler** with **Hybrid Structures** you will be:

- Continuously develop a portfolio and a method of working to suit the activities that HS are undertaking including creation and updates on.
- Coordinate manage and update a library of all products used and needed by Hybrid Structures.
- Build models from scratch both at tender stage and also at contract stage.
- Continuously develop, review and implement a BIM strategy that can be adopted by Hybrid structures that allows the business to implement a BIM protocol plan.
- Preparing and checking of fabrication drawings for all types of products and all types of structures.
- Preparing and checking of G.A. & Marking Plan Drawings for all types of structures.
- Preparing and checking of wire-frame MTO models in 3-D CAD software including completeness checks etc.
- Preparing of “Typical” Connections and “Mass Application” in Working Models, including completeness checks.
- Completion of all detailing such as lifting holes and handrailing etc in Working Models, including completeness checks.
- Preparing and checking of Brought Out summary lists / Bought Out Schedules as requested by the PE or Section Leader.
- Preparing and checking of Preliminary Material lists and associated rolling and carcass drawings.
- Preparing and checking of bolt location and bolt summary lists.
- Compliance with all internal documents such as Engineering Office Guidance Notes, Work Instructions and Quality Management Systems, as well as industry standards such as NSSS.
- Overseeing and managing contract variation records and submissions for all Variation work undertaken.
- Liaising with Client’s Engineer, Sub-Trades, and all internal Departments / Centres of the company as required.
- Interpretation and checking of Sub-Trade drawings (e.g. flooring, decking, cladding etc.).
- Generation of Technical Queries / ITQ’s and administration of same.

**What are we looking for?**
- Educated to BTEC ONC in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with a significant level of experience using 3D software
- Must have experience of steel and timber structures
- Ideally experience in using Revit of Tekla modelling software
- Understanding of fabrication process for all materials that are used (note training will be given on the products).
- Appreciation of manufacturing, & erection processes and how components fit together
- Solid understanding of Engineering and underlying principles that partners with good spatial awareness and ability to conceptualise work in 3D.
- Engaging communicator who can articulate themselves clearly and build solid relationships with people.
- Methodical, contentious approach to work and determination to produce consistent output of the highest quality.
- Strong work ethic and self-motivation for all assigned works.
- Commitment to completing deadline driven tasks (and willingness to put in extra efforts outside of core working hours if required).
- Works well using their own initiative, pays attention to detail and is a proactive problem solver
