**CATERING / GENERAL ASSISTANT - OWN TRANSPORT REQUIRED**

SP FOODS have a vacancy for a Full-time member of staff with immediate start.

**Responsibilities**:Do everything necessary to prepare the “sandwiches” that we sell on our vans (this can be filled soft rolls, filled soft baguettes, filled wraps, filled salad boxes, filled sandwiches, etc) with various fillings according to a Production List that can change daily;
Mix & prepare “sandwich” fillings & salad items;
Prepare any Customer Buffet Orders, ready to be put on the van for delivery;
Assist other staff members with their production needs;
Keep costs down by reducing waste and monitor quantities used;
Clean and keep your work area tidy & hygienic;
Maintain a clean and organised premises environment;
Monitor and record stored food temperatures and all other records;
Prepare Supplier orders and place them with supplier according to the schedule;
Receive & check deliveries and help put away;
Process each van’s daily sales by Card & Cash Handling and recording the information;
Answer phone calls and record any messages;

**Requirements**:
Regular attendance is a must as the business and all other staff depend on this role;
Ability to start as early as 4.30am, normally (5 am or 5.30). BUT flexibility in arrival & departure times is crucial to the smooth running of the business;
Owning a transport;
Strong organisational skills to keep track of inventory requirements;
Willingness to be helpful in assisting colleagues;
To maintain a clean & tidy premises;
Be good mathematically for cash handling and recording;
YOU NEED TO LIVE LOCALLY,

YOU NEED OWN TRANSPORT.

YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO START EARLY.

**Benefit**:
The vacancy is for a 40-hour week (Monday - Friday);
The shift should finish by 1.30pm although your job may require a later finish occasionally;
Weekly Pay. Hours: Up to 40 per week, over 5 days.

Weekly pay;
20 days Paid Annual Holiday;
Paid Bank Holidays;

**Salary**: £10.42 per hour

Expected hours: 35 - 42 per week
