We in Smart Infrastructure focus our expertise on helping our grid operator customers supply power, safely and reliably to homes, buildings and industry. The Quality & Business Excellence team are a strategic partner to our businesses and are responsible for continuous improvement within the organisation. Through collaboration and consultation, we proactively ensure that the products and services we deliver meet the established standards set by Siemens, as well as the ever-changing requirements and demands of our customers.

**The Challenge**

Embark on your 12-month placement with us whilst taking part in our fantastic Intern Development Programme. We will create an individual training plan to help you develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of it, you will be set up with the best knowledge and hands-on experience to equip you for your professional career in Quality Management / Assurance.

Here is a taste of what you can expect:

- Maintain and continuously review the business quality management system to ensure fitness for purpose and compliance with the requirements of ISO9001:2015.
- Support the external and internal audit schedule programme for the business.
- Prepare data for monthly reporting to Headquarters and local business units, demonstrating Quality KPI adherence.
- Help drive varied quality initiatives tackling key issues identified through continuous monitoring and performance.
- Act as an ambassador for the Quality & Business Excellence team whilst networking with colleagues at all levels of the organisation.
- Travel to assist with supplier quality audits at other UK locations.

**Entry Requirements**
- You have a demonstrable interest in a career in Quality Assurance and enthusiasm in the role that continuous improvement can play in our future success.
- This role will be a combination of home working and attending our office in Hebburn so you must be able to commute to the office regularly.
