**Purpose of the job**:
To provide support and assistance to the Modern Foreign Languages department in both teaching pupils and offering preparation for summer exams.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:
- To provide individual teaching to pupils along with assistance within the Lower School lessons.
- To assist with the Summer Term exams.
**Key Tasks**:
- To teach 22-24 periods to both individual students and teaching assistant in some Lower School lessons.
- To conduct invigilation of speaking exams in the Summer Term.
- To assist pupils in the warm up room for speaking exams in the Summer Term which are often outside timetabled teaching periods.
- To provide cover for 6th Form lessons in staff absence.
- To conduct and mark 3rd & 4th Form Speaking exams (Michaelmas and Summer Term).
- To provide two afternoon language activities.
- To help at one weekly language clinic.
- To provide pre-exam oral practice in the Summer Term after classes (5:45-10pm).
- To attend Languages Society Meetings, three per term (5:45-6:45 or 8:30-9:30).
- To deliver talks and offer translation/interpretation for Languages Society, three per year.
- To ensure adherence to statutory Health and Safety and Data Protection Legislation at all times.
