Personal Care Assistant

Male OR Female Personal Care Assistant/Support Worker required to assist a person with a Learning Disability and Epilepsy living in the Blantyre area.
You would be required to provide one to one care and assistance within their home and in the community and participation in social activities.
Your duties would involve assisting with tasks such as:
- Assisting with medication
- Preparing meals and healthy snacks
- Walking, swimming and assisting with participation in these physical activities
- Household shopping and collecting prescriptions
- Any other daily living tasks to promote independent living
Driver essential and you will be required to drive a mobility vehicle.
Must take a proactive and innovative approach to support and encourage individual to be involved in activities suited to their needs.
Favourite activities are swimming, walking, cinema and socialising.
Pets in the household - you must be comfortable working with a dog in the home.
Experience is desirable but not essential.
The most important qualities are a warm and friendly nature and a desire to work within a caring role.
Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
**Hours of Work (with a degree of flexibility)**
Recruiting for one position.
Guaranteed permanent position of 8 hours per week
**Days and times**:
Days and times very flexible one afternoon or evening through the week and one afternoon or evening at the weekend
**Hourly rate**:
£10.90 per hour
