Bakery Packer/drivr

**The Company**

Bakeri Baltzersen is a wholesale and retail bakery operation and is based 7km outside Harrogate at Springfield Farm on the A59 near Menwith Hill. We bake a range of long fermented sourdough loaves, rye, ciabatta and more traditional yeasted white and granary style loaves/rolls. We also bake pastry and vienoisserie from scratch.

**The Role**

We are seeking a full-time Bakery Packer/Driver for a permanent role.

Days:
Saturday - Wednesday

Packing products for delivery.
Prepping paperwork and packaging for the next day

Driving delivery routes
Other duties as required by the bakery manager.

**Early Start Early Finish**

Packing is a process that happens overnight so we can get bread and pastries to our partners and customers as fresh as they can be. With this brings a start for the packing team at 10pm. You need to be the type of person that can be relied upon to get into work because you could be the first person in for a packing shift - sleeping through your alarm is not an option.

**Dual Role**

This is a dual role where sometimes you'll be needed to come in on the earlier shift (starting at 10:30pm) and work with the packing team to pack products for delivery and stay on to help prepare deliveries for the next day.

On other shifts you'd come in at Midnight with the drivers to help finish the pack before then heading out in the van on a delivery route.

**Transport**

The location of the bakery and the times of the shifts mean that you need to have your own transport to get you to and from the bakery. Public transport is not an option.

**Pay**

The basic rate for this role is £12.22/hr.

We also pay an additional £3.00/hr as an 'Unsocial Hours' top up rate between 11pm and 6am.

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Night shift
