Hotel Receptionist

A rare opportunity to join the Front of House team at The Cairngorm Hotel, Aviemore. You will be responsible for offering a warm and friendly welcome in the true Scottish tradition.

The Hotel has 31 bedrooms, a function room and a very busy bar & restaurant.

We are looking for an experienced Receptionist to join our loyal and hard working team.

Responsibilities include
- Checking guests in and out in a welcoming and professional manner
- Manage all enquiries and bookings across the various facets of the business.
- Ensuring full understanding of customer requirements and acting upon them, giving excellent customer service at all time
- Managing guest’s accounts and cash handling accurately
- Using Guestline, our computerised reservations system
- Operating the hotel switchboard
- Assist in other departments if required.
- Consistent and excellent customer service.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident, friendly and outgoing personality
- Excellent communication skills
- Enthusiasm and passion for delivering first class customer service
- The ability to work as part of a team or alone.
- IT literacy
- Be flexible to work on a rota basis (shifts are 7.30am to 3.30pm or 3pm to 11pm)

This is a full time position, 40 hours, 5 days out of 7. Salary is dependent on experience but will be above the minimum wage. There is a very generous reception bonus scheme. Meals on duty, paid breaks, pension scheme, share of tips and many others.
