Our client, a forward thinking, leading independent firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an Outsourcing Manager to join their outsourcing business in Uckfield.

You will manage a small team of staff and be responsible for a diverse client portfolio, ranging from Entrepreneurs and SMEs to large Group Companies. The role will involve presenting management information, dealing with VAT compliance, and preparing forecasts& budgets.

Duties Include:

- Training and supporting both team members and clients
- Working alongside the Director, looking at new technologies and systems to enhance efficiencies
- Review bookkeeping, management accounts and VAT returns
- Review year end packs to be passed to the accounts and audit team
- Complete and review VAT compliance including registration, de-registration, option to tax, VAT enquiries and investigation, working closely with a group VAT specialist
- Develop and maintain good client relationships
- Assist and advise clients with their accounting systems, which can include designing accounting processes and internal controls
- Ensure a high level of service to meet clients' expectations and deadlines

You will ideally hold a qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or be QBE and have previous bookkeeping, VAT and management accounts experience, preferably in a supervisory capacity within practice or a professional environment.

A good understanding of Excel, Xero and Sage 50 would also be an advantage.
