Head of Operations

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Operations to lead our warehouse, logistics and customer relations departments and ensure the smooth functioning of our organisation.

As the Head of Operations, you will play a key role in collaborating with current management to oversee and enhance our customer relations team, warehouse team, picking and packing processes, goods in and out processes, and transportation operations. Your primary focus will be on optimising efficiency, driving continual improvement initiatives, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience at Madison 3PL.

This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic oversight and involvement in daily operational activities. Currently this would be managing customer service team of 3 staff members and operations/warehouse team totalling 22 staff members with the help of Customer Relations, Goods-In and Goods-Out Managers.

**Responsibilities**
- Oversee daily operations and ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals.
- Develop and implement efficient operational processes to improve productivity and quality.
- Supervise and manage departmental heads, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
- Lead performance management initiatives, providing guidance and support to team members.
- Introduce and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with the board to develop long-term operational strategies that align with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, maintaining a safe working environment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analysing processes and implementing best practices.
- Align operational improvements with customer satisfaction goals, ensuring exceptional service quality and reliability.
- Drive initiatives that enhance the customer experience and improve service consistency.
- Lead key projects including large orders and new customer implementations.
- Develop a deep understanding of existing systems and processes to maximise operational efficiencies and identify areas for improvement.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in an operations management role, preferably within a fast-paced distribution, 3PL, warehousing and/or logistics environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics to inform decision-making.
- Strong IT systems skills.
- Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering results.
- Ability to thrive in a hands-on role while driving strategic operational improvements.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
