**HR ADVISER**
Reports to: HR & Recruitment Principal
**Salary**: up to £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience) plus bonuses + Benefits
**Job purpose**
As the HR Adviser you will play an integral part of the Echo service model. With a broad spectrum of HR experience, ideally in the healthcare industry, your main remit would be to manage the HR function, both internally and externally for clients.
This is an adviser level position and you will be working with the HR & Recruitment Principal of the business to develop and progress the business plan. A host of skills including operational, strategy, IT and people skills are essential to be considered for this position. Leading by example, you will be responsible for delivery of the HR client services with the aim of growing the department and the HR team.
Managing relationships with a growing client portfolio and ensuring first class delivery of services is essential.
This role is office based in Leeds City Centre.
**Role & Responsibilities**
As a HR Adviser you will:
- Provide guidance on all aspects of the Human Resources function relating to employee relations and assisting in the implementation of HR policies and procedures; recruitment and selection matters
- Operate as an assistant or lead as directed by your manager in matters of employee relations issues including investigations, disciplinary hearings and grievances and performance management of individuals
- Advise on pay and other remuneration issues, including promotions and benefits
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle inclusive of recruitment, inductions, exit interviews, driving performance through trial period reviews and probationary period and personal achievement control
- Support the HR processes, policies and procedures ensuring they are legally compliant
- Liaising with the Employment Law Solicitor where necessary or appropriate
- Provide general HR & Recruitment Services to the clients of the business
**Person Specification**
**Knowledge**
- Working knowledge of HR functions and best practises
- Knowledge of employment law and human resources responsibilities
- Good knowledge of the company’s services, value proposition and USPs
- Up-to-date knowledge of market intelligence and industry trends (e.g. new technology, HR metrics, and legislative changes)
**Experience**
- CIPD or equivalent generalist HR & Recruitment experience (minimum 2 years)
- Significant experience of HR processes, employment law and able to adapt knowledge based on up-to date legislation
- Providing HR advice and guidance online and by telephone across the full spectrum of ER issues, particularly discipline, grievance, capability/performance management and sickness
- Proficiency across common softwares such as Google Workspace, spreadsheets and HRIS / ATS platforms
- Demonstrable experience of developing good working relationships and managing expectations of stakeholders
- Escalating complex, risky, or sensitive cases to appropriate colleagues, who may be in-house or sit within the client's business
**Skills**
- You will be a dynamic and highly motivated individual with the ability to organise effectively and efficiently, alongside being able to cope with changing situations whilst always remaining calm and well organised
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with experience in managing multiple recruitment campaigns within tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, attention to detail and follow-up skills
- Approachable, with the ability to deal with a variety of situations and people in a supportive manner
- Team player who is a good communicator and is keen to work with a progressive team as well as having a drive to deliver quality content
