**Job Role: Cell Leader (Packing department)**
**Location: South Molton**

**Hours: Permanent, Rotating shifts 4 on / 4 off (6am-4pm/4:15pm-2:15am)**
**Salar y: £10.71 per hour plus shift premiums**
Do you have a process/production background with great leadership skills?
Our client based in South Molton is looking for a Cell leader to support the team to ensure the efficient operation of the process within the packing department, supporting the Shift Supervisor as required.
Taking the senior level of responsibility on site when no higher level of authority is available.
**Responsibilities:**
**General**
Visible leadership/commitment to the clients Safety Star and Expectations Programme.
Accident and near miss reporting.
Communication of safety information relevant to maintaining area safety.
Involvement and participation in team briefings/crew talks.
In cooperation with the shift supervisor ensure that each individual has had the necessary training to allow him/her to carry out their assigned duties in a safe and effective manner.
Organising, coordinating, and supporting of staff under supervision as appropriate.
Setting high personal standards for motivating staff under supervision.
Ability to work under pressure and maintain a consistently high level of performance.
Ability to Investigate, understand and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
To ensure all controlled documentation is accurately completed. Communication of production targets to staff under supervision and maintaining production standards.
Actively participate in the department plant maintenance programme**.**
**Health and Safety**
Setting and maintaining high standards of housekeeping.
Ongoing and proactive participation and promotion of the Stronger Together safety culture and associated initiatives and activities
Visible commitment to the client Safety Star and Expectations Programme.
Comply with Health & Safety requirements as per training, policies, procedures, risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of work etc.
Follow Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work detailed to the task. Ensure that issued PPE is kept and maintained in good condition.
Actively seek to improve safety culture.
Report any H&S issues/accidents/near misses to the line manager immediately.
**What we need from you**:

- A 'Hands-on' individual, with a positive 'can-do' approach to ensuring Safety and Quality standards are achieved and maintained.
- The role requires the individual to be capable of problem solving and fault finding.
- Ensuring all activities within area of responsibility are completed in full compliance with all statutory regulations and site HS&E standards, policies and procedures.
- Process/Production background with relevant experience.
- Approachable, knowledgeable and patient.
- Good organisational skills. GCSE Maths, English (or equivalent) IT Skills including Excel, Word, and stock management software (SAP, SAGE etc).
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Ability to review and edit controlled documents.
- Technical expertise, including reading drawings.
- A desire to develop and participate in new opportunities.
