HR Administrator

We are currently seeking an experienced HR Administrator with a background in construction or similar.
The role is responsible for providing high quality, objective, and generalist support to ensure the business develops and retains great people management ensuring the culture and values remain at the forefront of all activity.
The role is based on the management of our one-person Human Resources department, from people management to recruitment, complaint handling, HR filing, performance management and appraisals
**Key Responsibilities**:
- People management and ensuring personnel files are always up to date
- Action warning, disciplinary and dismissal in line with company policies
- Monitor performance via reporting across all departments and field staff
- Training management and people development
- Inducting new starters and ensuring they are set up live to work
- Ensuring HR policies, processes and procedures are implemented to the required standard across the business
- Support management and directors in the delivery of the Appraisal and Review processes
- Liaise with our Compliance department and provide up to date and knowledgeable advice to managers on the principles of UK employment law
- Partner with managers to efficiently handle employee relation issues in a pragmatic and efficient manner including employment tribunal claims, redundancy, organizational restructures, terminations, TUPE, grievances, misconduct, code of conduct issues and disciplinary action
- You will be required to assist in the development and delivery of learning and development interventions
- Support with recruitment and procurement of new staff where required and to replace leavers, take part in interviews and shortlist CVs
- Other projects or activities as may be requested
- Administration duties as necessary
**Before you apply, please ensure that you fulfil the following criteria**:
- Strong generalist HR skills
- Strong relationship building skills
- Experienced Negotiator and Mediator
- Project management experience
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Culturally unbiased
- Able to work across multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects
- Able to work on own initiative and autonomously
- Previous HR experience in a Construction related industry would be an asset (not desirable)
- A confident, knowledgeable, and resilient HR professional with strong communication skills
