About The RoleLittle Thinkers are looking to appoint a Childcare Apprentice for each of our brand-new Nursery settings at Kings Ash Academy and Curledge Street Academy. Our new setting is for babies aged 9 months to 2 years and will be based in Paignton within our successful ‘Ofsted good’ school provisions. Little Thinkers apprentices will join a caring team, who thrive on teamwork and a challenge. We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about transforming the lives of our children to join with us and support in the childcare at our exciting new provision whilst you are gaining hands on experience and working towards recognised childcare qualifications. Under the direction of the Nursery Manager/Deputy Manager you will be expected to provide a high standard of childcare within a stimulating and friendly environment that is physically and emotionally secure. Children's welfare must be of paramount importance. If successful you will be enrolled onto either a 12-month Level 2 Early Years Practitioner or 24-month Level 3 Early Years Educator (dependant on experience) Apprenticeship at Exeter College. You will attend taught lessons at college which will give you the knowledge and understanding into what goes into becoming a proficient Early Years Practitioner. Supported by your assessor coach, course tutor and the team at Kings Ash academy and Curledge Street Academy you will get the chance to hone these skills every day. This role is truly a fantastic opportunity for anyone wanting to further their career in childcare. Upon completion you will receive a recognised L2 Early Years Practitioner or L3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Standard certificate. **_We would love to hear from anyone who has the passion and enthusiasm for this role._**

Hours: 40.00 per week

Training Provided:
One day a week attendance at Exeter College, with frequent visits into the workplace by an assessor.

Additional Information:
Please consider the distance and cost of travel to Exeter College 1 day a week during term time.

For the L3 - Maths and English at grade 4 is desired.
For the L2- Maths and English at grade 3 is desired.
