**As a result of continued growth, this well-known, national insurance organisation has a superb opportunity for a talented Business Development Manager / Head of Sales in the North West of England. Initially, you will hold Business Development Manager responsibilities, which will include generating further business from existing broker partners, as well as acting as the relationship manager when it comes to solving issues and dealing with more unusualenquiries. Rest assured that this is NOT a "head in the Yellow Pages sales role" - this organisation is very well-engrained within the broker market. As you prove yourself, you will assume further Head of Sales duties, which will include things such as developing and executing strategic plans, recruiting, leading and motivating the Sales Team to increase market share, forecasting and creating annual salesquotas for regions, and attending exhibitions and other corporate events. You’ll also be actively involved with the timely reporting of activity, productivity and results to the board of directors. This business is not 'corporate’, which will surely appeal to those insurance professionals who like to get things done without some of the bureaucracy that can be found in much larger organisations. Refreshingly, this firm regularly promotes hardworkingindividuals who constantly exceed their targets and aspire to help the company achieve its growth plans and customer centric goals. It is essential that you have previous experience within a B2B sales / business development role within the insurance industry, with demonstrable success of dealing with brokers. You will thrive on achieving set targets and be able to work within the compliance restrictions of a regulated business. It is not essential that you have previous managerial experience; if you don’t,you’ll certainly have a natural flair for leadership, with a genuine passion for getting the best out of others. You’ll be given a great deal of autonomy to do what you do best, and refreshingly, this is not a micro-management organisation.
