Working for the Child Health Information Service (CHIS) based in Barrow. This is data input and processing post rather than admin.
Inputting and updating demographic information into our Electronic Patient Record system, including new birth details, vaccination, immunisation and blood screening results. Scheduling baby immunisations and sending out appointment letters.
The Child Health Information Service (CHIS) is responsible for all children and young people aged 0-19 years (or 0-25 years old for children and young people with a disability). Ensuring that key information on a child’s health is available to their parents, any professionals involved in their care and for public health purposes.
Input data onto RIO from external/internal sources both paper based and electronic. Following processes for deaths to ensure all communication is halted.
To process data and information in relation to children’s records and associated data/tests using Access RIO in all areas within the Service Specification indicators.
Share information / data / records both internally within the NHS Trust and with external sources.
Ensure data is up to date and follow school aged immunisation programme timetables to ensure timely accurate data entry.
To deal competently with queries from users and other agencies relating.
Work flexibly within the constraints of the role during times of leave/sickness.
To undertake other duties at the request of the Quality Supervisor / Manager which are commensurate with the role including covering absence.
Formats letters, reports and presentations to a high standard.
Ensures incoming and outgoing post is processed promptly.
Rotate within the unit within the skill set of the child health officer role.
To report data issues in an appropriate and timely manner to department manager.
To ensure mandatory training is kept up to date.
