**Shift Coordinator**:**Type of contract**:Permanent - Shift: 4 days work / 4 days off - (2 days, 2 nights, 4 days off) **Localization**:Kings Lynn **Salary**:To be discussed An exciting opportunity has opened up for a Shift Coordinator in the Kings Lynn factory. The Shift Coordinator provides leadership on shift in partnership with the Shift Team Leader and Maintenance Technicians, to successfully coordinate and lead manufacturing operations ensuring all work performed complies with our standards and policies (Safety, Quality, Procedures). Your role is key in driving the day-to-day operations: managing shifts and being the "go-to" person for the team. **What are we looking for?**: - You have significant experience in a similar role, with a proven track record in a manufacturing environment driving operational excellence and proactively managing safety and food safety - You possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coach and train people - You have a clear understanding of production planning, lean tools and you always look for continuous improvement - Experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment is essential - You have the ambition to develop yourself and to grow into a Team Leader role in a few years - Your main skills: Priority setting, problem-solving mindset, and drive for results **What will be your key responsibilities?**: - The shift Coordinator is responsible for the** coordination of production, efficiency, scrap, and resources on shift with secondary ownership of shift maintenance and optimizing equipment downtime.** - In absence of the Shift Team Leader, **takes responsibility for and is accountable for supervising the team following Mars Health and Safety policies and Safe Work procedures** - Ownership of **FMOS implementation** for the operations team - ** Evaluate the individual performance and contribution of all team **members and **provide input to the Shift Team Leader** on an ongoing basis to assist in establishing developmental plans. - Provides input and collaborates with the Shift Team Leader to **coordinate team engagement.** - Implements **continuous improvement** recommends improvements and implements upgrades for recurring production issues or process improvements - Actively participates in functional improvement activities such as area teams, changeover reduction activities, scrap reduction activities - Takes ownership of the** completion of complicated changeovers **and significantly** improves the performance of the plant and achieving the business goals of production, quality, hygiene, cost, and safety** through a focused effort on area reliability **What can you expect from Mars?**: - Work with over 130,000 like-minded and talented Associates, all guided by The Five Principles. - Join a purpose-driven company, where we’re striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today. - Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University. - An industry-competitive salary and benefits package, including a company bonus.
