As a successful Depot Supervisor, you will be responsible for supporting the management of the logistics functions within a team environment and ensuring that all Operation and Health and Safety procedures are adhered to at all times.

You will be a positive team player and be confident in driving if required also.

**Main responsibilities of a Depot Supervisor**:

- Work and manage all colleagues to comply with standard operating procedures in line with company policies, achieving company and absence management KPI's and building the right 'can do' depot culture
- Planning of driver's routes in line with the Working Time Directive - sourcing staff from 3rd party agencies ensuring these are planned and managed in line with flex in volume and budgeted costs
- Deal with outbound vehicles following the correct company procedure
- Ensure vehicles are loaded on time in a safe, presentable manner
- Ensure all vehicles have relevant handling equipment, straps, and blankets for delivery crews
- Maintain the depot at all times to acceptable standards of housekeeping and lead by example to a high level of Health & Safety awareness/compliance and action any areas of concern
- Manage and develop the team whilst promoting improvement initiatives

**Essential Skills**:

- Previous experience in a transport/warehouse environment with a passion for the customer experience, as this is what sets our delivery teams apart from the rest
- An organised and methodical problem-solver with good knowledge of EU Driving Hours

**Desirable Skills**:

- Able to use routing software and Taco systems
- Previous experience within a logistics two-man home delivery environment
- A CPC qualification is desirable but not essential to this Depot Supervisor role
