Apprentice Greenkeeper

Sandyhills Golf Club has an opening for the position of apprentice greenkeeper To assist the course manager to maintain the course to a high standard for our members and visitors.

**Summary**
- As an Apprentice Greenkeeper, you will be integral to maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of our course. Reporting to the course manager, your role involves utilizing core skills in greenkeeping while developing premium skills in landscape maintenance, irrigation, and equipment operation. Your ability to communicate effectively will enhance teamwork and ensure tasks are completed efficiently.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the maintenance of landscapes by performing tasks such as mowing, trimming, and planting.
- Operate and maintain irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for various groundskeeping activities.
- Support the team in landscape design and construction projects.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and report any mechanical issues.
- Collaborate with senior greenkeepers to learn best practices in horticulture and greenkeeping.
- Rotated morning weekend work
- Working week approximately summer hours-mon-fri 6 am -2pm
- Winter hours 7.30 am-2 pm

**Qualifications**
- GCSE

Pay: From £20,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
