**PURPOSE OF JOB**: You will be targeted with a mix of pro-active and reactive sales. Proactively you will be responsible for developing your own network of new clients and leads as well as expanding business opportunities through our existing customer base. As a business we also generate a large number of inbound enquiries from new and repeat clients. The reactive side of the role involves managing these enquiries through to conversion.
Our enquiry process is a journey designed to take clients on an exciting tour through the possibilities of what their potential experience could involve. This includes understanding their exact needs and inspiring them with the right solutions.
**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Reactively manage inbound phone and website enquiries.
- Produce suitable proposals and quotes for all in bound enquiries.
- Manage the sales cycle for each and every enquiry to optimise and maximise conversion.
- Create bespoke event solutions to suit the client’s needs..
- Pro-actively generate new areas of business from:
- Existing accounts.
- New accounts - driven by inbound enquiries. This involves developing a lead / enquiry into an account that yields repeat business.
- Pro-actively generate client meetings & presentations to enhance your chances of winning business.
- ‘Pitch’ to clients in a creative way to inspire and motivate them to choose GOTO Events.
- Attend industry networking events in order to generate new contacts and new relationships with potential future clients.
- Attend industry training experiences with venues and suppliers.
**CANDIDATE**:
You must demonstrate the following:
- Proven experience and success in a sales role
- Results driven and hungry to succeed
- Excellent relationship and communications skills
- Good telephone manner
- A real ‘people’s’ person
- Confident and self-motivated
- A creative mind and not afraid to think out of the box
- Diligent and willing to go the extra mile
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Competent in face to face meetings
- Smart and presentable
- Persuasive by nature
- Good social skills with the ability to quickly forge strong relationship
Desirable **but not essential** skills include:
- Knowledge or experience of corporate events.
- Sales skills - specifically relationship sales, account management or business development.
- Experience in team building events & corporate event management.
We offer an attractive package in return, including laptop, mobile phone and a REALISTIC on target earning of £45,000 +
**Salary**: £22,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
