**Job Purpose**: As a Customer Service Assistant at Greggs, you will be the face of our brand, providing exceptional service to our customers. Your role is to ensure every customer has a positive and welcoming experience while helping to maintain the store's operations, including food preparation, cash handling, and maintaining cleanliness.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Service**: Greet and serve customers in a friendly and efficient manner. Provide product information and recommendations, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- **Sales & Transactions**: Operate the till and handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments, issuing receipts, and balancing the till at the end of the shift.
- **Food Preparation**: Assist in the preparation of Greggs’ food items, including baking, sandwich making, and drink preparation, following company guidelines and health and safety standards.
- **Stock Management**: Assist in the replenishment of stock, ensuring shelves are well-stocked, and displays are visually appealing. Monitor product levels and report any shortages to the store manager.
- **Store Cleanliness**: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including dining areas, kitchen, and bathroom facilities. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with team members to ensure the smooth operation of the store. Support colleagues as needed and contribute to a positive working environment.
- **Customer Feedback**: Listen to and address customer feedback and complaints in a professional manner, escalating issues to the manager when necessary.
- **Product Knowledge**: Stay informed about new products, promotions, and company policies to provide accurate information to customers.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Previous experience in a retail or food service environment is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and stock management.
- A positive attitude and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
