**_Experienced Housekeeper in Essex_**

We are looking to hire a housekeeper for our home in Chelmsford Essex. You will be responsible for cleaning rooms and common areas, disposing of trash, changing beds, and notifying the house manager of any issues. You should be able to lift 25 pounds and have an eye for cleanliness.

**General Purpose**

To maintain a clean, sanitary, comfortable and tidy environment for the household.

**Housekeeper Responsibilities**:

- Keep facilities and common areas clean and maintained on an ongoing basis through the day. This is a busy household and any one room may need cleaning more than once a day.
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors throughout the day as and when required.
- Clean and stock restrooms and bathrooms throughout the day.
- Clean up spills with appropriate equipment.
- Notify managers of necessary repairs.
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Assist house guests and visitors when necessary.
- Keep linen room stocked.
- Properly clean upholstered furniture.

**Main Job Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities**
- sweep, scrub, mop and polish floors
- vacuum clean carpets, rugs and draperies
- shampoo carpets, rugs and upholstery
- dust and polish furniture and fittings
- clean metal fixtures and fittings
- empty and clean trash containers
- dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
- clean wash basins, mirrors, tubs and showers
- wipe down glass surfaces
- make up beds and change linens as required
- tidy up rooms
- wash windows as scheduled
- sort, wash, load and unload laundry
- iron and press clothing and linen
- sort, fold and put away clean laundry
- operate mechanized cleaning equipment
- maintain all cleaning equipment and materials in a safe and sanitary working condition
- monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements
- monitor guest laundry bags
- replace laundry bags and slips
- check all appliances in rooms are in working order
- realign furniture and amenities according to principles prescribed layout
- ensure confidentiality and security of property
- follow all current safety and security procedures (training will be given on the first day)

**Housekeeper Requirements**:

- Ability to manage your time efficiently.
- Work well unsupervised.
- Ability to lift at least 25 pounds.
- Handle basic maintenance and cleaning.
- Ability to maintain a professional appearance and interact positively with hotel guests. (a uniform will be provided for you, which you are expected to keep clean and ironed. It is expected that you will be presentable at all times).
- Hard worker.
- Must have housekeeping experience in private home/hotels.

- knowledge of cleaning sensitive materials
- working knowledge of operating cleaning equipment
- physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel and bend

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
