**Health, Safety and Environmental (HS&E) Advisor - Carlisle Southern Link Road (CSLR)**

**Location: North West England (Carlisle) / Scotland Central Belt**

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a HS&E Advisor to join the team on our Carlisle Southern Link Road project for Galliford Try Infrastructure. You will work closely with senior management, the client and other stakeholders in order to drive a high performing HS&E culture.

You will be responsible primarily to undertake assurance and monitor compliance against the business management system with regards to HSE and client expectations. Provide timely and competent advice to project teams on all matters of Health, Safety and Environmental on a day to day basis mainly due to the scheme size and complexity of risk.

Longer term, you will gain exposure to a range of major infrastructure projects across the north of England and Scotland region

**Key Responsibilities**

You will work within a project team to support the delivery of our knowingly safe and well strategy:

- Reports to the Project HS&E Manager, ensuring compliance and performance monitoring.
- Leads assurance activities on-site, focusing on risk management and stakeholder engagement.
- Conducts monthly SSERs to track project HSE performance.
- Provides timely advice and supports incident investigations to determine root causes.
- Promotes Galliford Try’s HSE culture and works with CBAB Coaches.
- Monitors compliance with statutory HSE responsibilities and client expectations.
- Delivers training, liaises on safety alerts, and supports D&A testing as needed.

**About You**

We are looking for the right person to work collaboratively with others as well as strive for exceptional levels of performance.
- Previous health and safety or construction experience is an advantage however training will be provided where required.
- Strong team player with excellent relationship-building skills.
- Results-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Proficient in IT tools (PowerApps, PowerBI, Excel, MS Office) and digital software.
- Strong analytical skills, able to solve problems and manage data effectively.
