**Premises Officer Needed For Secondary School In Southwark**

Hours: Full-time, 8am - 4pm

Overview:
As a Secondary School Premises Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the school premises and facilities. Your primary role will be to maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Opening and closing the school premises at designated times.
2. Conducting regular security checks to ensure the safety of the premises.
3. Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as minor repairs and upkeep of facilities.
4. Monitoring and managing the school's heating, lighting, and ventilation systems.
5. Coordinating with external contractors for larger maintenance projects.
6. Managing the school's inventory of equipment and supplies.
7. Responding to emergency situations, such as fire alarms or security breaches.
8. Assisting with setting up and clearing away equipment for school events and activities.
9. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
10. Providing support to staff and students as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Previous experience in premises management or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic maintenance skills, such as plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for special events or emergencies.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm

Pay: £13.50-£17.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- School Caretaker: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Enhanced DBS dated within a year or on the update service (preferred)
