The key fundamentals of this role will be to control the planning of manufacturing jobs against the customer demand including materials, manufacturing and subcontracting timing to achieve lead times and delivery to SLA's
The role will deliver the effective procurement solutions for material supply, balancing total cost, quality and service with an objective to minimise materials inventory.
Working within the production facility and reporting to the Operations Manager, this additional person will manage some key relationships between suppliers and the business, ensuring that the business will be a customer of choice.
You will be confident to manage key relationships and be able to negotiate with confidence. Working with your counterparts in the team - you will work collaboratively communicate requirements, identify materials needs and arrange to meet these within theagreed strategies, to reduce risk, delivering a better value supply chain by embedding supplier relationship management into projects and focusing the needs of internal and external partners.
Key characteristics needed will include excellent attention to detail and a pro-active, can do attitude to be an effective contributor to this team
