**Job Summary**

Bloom Gardening is a young dynamic vibrant company, currently small but expanding. We provide a first-class gardening service, looking for a team member to join and expand with the company. Based in North Leeds, we specialise in residential properties, carrying out garden clearances and property maintenance. We also have a small but expanding portfolio of commercial sites that we maintain. We take pride in our customer service and attention to detail.

We provide a competitive hourly rate with room to increase.

This is a fun outdoors position, however, it will be physically demanding and you must be able to perform a variety of tasks to assist in the maintenance and renovation of gardens.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Ensure that the appearance of clients’ gardens meets or exceeds expectations.
- Perform various gardening tasks including mowing and strimming lawns, weeding and cultivating garden beds, trimming hedges and bushes, pruning plants and shrubs, raking leaves and debris, keeping all areas of the garden neat and tidy.
- Safely operate petrol machinery such as lawnmowers, strimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws.
- Maintain a courteous and polite manner when dealing with clients and the general public.
- Any other duties assigned.

**Working Conditions**
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to maintain organisation, and a positive attitude.
- Work efficiently.
- Work outdoors in all types of weather.
- Must be physically fit to execute daily maintenance tasks.
- Physically demanding includes heavy lifting & carrying, pushing, kneeling and repetitive motion.

**Hours of work**
- Working on an hourly basis.
- Typically be between 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
- Working 5 days per week.
- Occasional overtime may be offered/required.

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Basic knowledge and/or interest in learning methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in gardening.
- Basic knowledge in standard horticultural practice.
- High level of ethical conduct, cooperation, and team skills.
- Ability to quickly and efficiently learn gardening practices.
- Good communication & interpersonal skills.
- Ability to not only work as a team but also under your own initiative.
- Excellent customer service.

Work uniform provided.

Pay per hour based on experience & qualifications.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Temporary contract

Pay: £12.00-£14.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
