Radiology Department Assistant/Administrator - Weekends
Our opening hours are as follows however, these may be adjusted slightly to meet the needs of the business:
Saturday 07:30 - 1700
Sunday 07:30 - 1700
Additional hours could be available to assist with the cover of the department in the event of sickness and annual leave.
- We are a small private diagnostic hospital in Leigh-on-Sea, and we are looking to expand our radiology department._
- You’ll be assisting the Radiographers In the daily operation of the Imaging Department, supporting patients throughout their journey at our hospital. You will be an integral part of the patient’s pathway and a part of our team, so we ask that your values align with ours - We pride ourselves on the attention to detail, our patient care, and our service._

**ROUTINE DUTIES / REQUIREMENTS**:
- To deliver a high quality of diagnostic imaging to all service users, ensuring clinical safety and facilitating a high standard of patient care.
- To support Radiographers with Coil Changes and preparing patients in MRI.
- To assist with monitoring stock and supplies in the department.
- To participate in Clinical Audit.
- To develop and maintain radiology procedures in conjunction with radiologists, radiographers, and other clinical staff as necessary.
- To allow patients to be examined in a safe environment, to implement safety awareness in MRI, and Radiation protection and ensure that untoward incidents are reported in a timely manner.
- Be always punctual and of smart appearance.
- Promote a pleasant and caring attitude within the department and hospital.
- In common with all employees to have a responsibility for health, safety and welfare of self and others in the working environment. To adhere to Health and Safety policies and procedures that are nationally or locally implemented to ensure a safe working environment is achieved by yourself and other members of staff.
- To work within the IR(ME)R 2000 regulations.
- To keep up to date with current techniques/legislation.
- To work to the hospital policies and processes.
- Awareness of Clinical Governance issues in relation to patient care.
- Accountable for their own actions.
- Accept and perform non-radiographic duties within the department, e.g., making appointments, answering phones, and performing routine office duties.
- To have a flexible approach to all Rota duties within the team responding to service needs and to be available for extra shifts to help cover annual leave and sickness.
- Undertake mandatory training.
