Domestic Assistants support the Trust in delivering a clean and safe environment for both service users and staff. We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Domestic Assistant to work at Prenton Clinic, Prenton Village Road, Prenton. The hours of work are Monday to Friday - 10 hrs per week 5pm - 7pm

Duties will include general cleaning as required, in line with National Cleaning Standards.

Previous experience in an NHS cleaning environment would be advantageous but not essential as full training will be provided. Uniform will be provided, you must be enthusiastic, flexible, and able to work alone and use initiative. You will be required to cover sickness and annual leave. 1. To be responsible for cleaning all areas in accordance with the specification cleaning schedule and to adjust work routine if required for the needs of the department.

1. To be accountable for cleaning all areas in accordance with C.O.S.H.H. regulations.

1. To be accountable for collecting daily rubbish and taking it to designated area.

1. To be responsible for opening up or closing buildings as appropriate.

1. To be responsible for informing supervisor / porter / security of fault on alarm system.

1. To be accountable for ordering cleaning materials as and when required with your supervisor.

1. To be responsible for keeping all equipment used in connection with duties in a clean and tidy condition.

1. To be responsible for bringing to the attention of the domestic supervisor, faults on equipment, particularly frayed wiring on electrical equipment.

1. To provide details of any untoward incident to supervisor.

1. To undertake any other duties as delegated by their supervisor on an ad-hoc basis.

1. To assist by moving department in emergencies i.e. cover for holidays and sickness.

1. To attend all core training and any other training as designated by their line manager.

All new clinical support staff will be required to have completed or working towards the Care Certificate (CWP In-house 2 day training to be completed within 6 months of start date).
