**Job Summary**

**Duties**
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the mechanics in the workshop.
- Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on various types of vehicles.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
- Carry out MOT testing in line with current DVSA regulations.
- Manage workflow, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources to meet deadlines and customer expectations.
- Liaise with customers, providing updates on vehicle repairs and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
- Mentor mechanics, providing guidance on best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, services performed, and parts used.
- Assist in the procurement of tools, equipment, and parts necessary for repairs.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment to identify potential issues before they become major problems.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience as a mechanic with a strong understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostic skills are essential.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications, City & Guilds Level 3 in Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
- A valid driving licence is required; additional qualifications such as MOT tester would be preferable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
