**The Role**
The UX Researcher will be responsible for helping define and drive the future of our products. You will reveal what our users need from our products by conducting research, working with cross-functional teams, and performing usability studies. These responsibilitiesalso include inspiring change, delivering oral and written presentations, evaluating qualitative and quantitative data, and helping the UX team better understand what would make a user's experience more intuitive, accessible, and seamless.
As the UX Researcher you will be joining our Technical department, reporting into our Head of UX and working alongside our UX Designers. You will be working independently as the sole UX Researcher within the team, allowing for scope of more seniority and ownershipalongside future growth of the department.

**Responsibilities**
- Leveraging analytics and other insights to better understand customer needs.
- Leading research to explore and understand user needs.
- Making research driven recommendations to improve the overall user experience.
- Keeping up to date on news technology/software and understanding what is happening in the market and with competitors.
- Working with designers to iterate and test solutions.
- Independently identifying different research solutions.
- Collaboratively analysing the results of research to recommend solutions.
- Creating research documentation and analysis outputs.
- Running small-medium research projects.
- Working with UX Designer to define structure and layout of the product.
- Working with UX Designer to define the visual identity of products.
- Data Driven Analysis & Testing.
- Regularly testing design work with users in partnership with UX Design team.
- Proactively using data to establish key metrics for projects.
- Exploring data from analytics packages, customer insight or other sources to understand context of research work.
**Requirements**:
We value attitude and intelligence over experience, but the following would be beneficial:
- At least 1 year's prior experience in a similar role.
- Familiar with and can use customer frameworks (e.g., Jobs to be done, personas).
- Prior use of relevant tools for research analysis.
- Understanding of the nuances of researching in different contexts (remote / in person /unmoderated /moderated).
- Bachelor's or MSc in a human behavior related field (or equivalent and demonstrable work experience).
- Experience with remote testing tools.
- A strong desire for creative problem-solving with a positive attitude.
- Excellent time-management skills.
- Demonstrates effective conversational skills, including active listening and questioning.
