A well-established food commodity trader (meat, fish, seafood)

Main duties:
As a key member of the international sales and purchasing team (food division), you will be directly responsible for a portfolio of suppliers and customers throughout the world

The role:

- Responsible for buying and selling food commodities
- Negotiating prices and maintaining relationships with suppliers and customers
- Arrange / control transport and logistics operations for international orders
- Contribute to generating income and control risks by performing standard trading work
- Liaise with logistics team regarding shipment and documentation
- Develop relationships with existing and new customers and management of sales
- Establishing commercial relationships with suppliers and customers across the world
- Fluent in English to business level (written and spoken)
- Additional languages such as Chinese / Mandarin - strong advantage
- Confident, outgoing with good numeracy skills
- Background in sales, purchasing, logistics or Export required
- Able to work under pressure and independently.
- Strong networking and interpersonal skills.

The salary: £55,000 pa + generous profit share

Pay: Up to £55,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus scheme
- Performance bonus
