Senior Technical Buyer

**THE ROLE**

The Senior Technical Buyer ensures that MRMC parts and components are purchased at the most competitive rates, are of good quality and arrive in time for Production deadlines to be met. Although required to manage a small team, the primary focus of this role is the negotiation of costs for all required parts.

**MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS**
- Negotiates contracts and build relationships for New and Existing Suppliers to ensure the best parts are sourced and purchased at a competitive price.
- Oversees Purchasing Administration to ensure all Purchasing policies and procedures are adhered to.
- Liaising with Manufacturing Services Manager, Stores Manager and the wider R&D and Production teams to manage the effective, timely delivery of products to the production process.
- Maintains excellent records of purchasing invoices and supplier contracts.
- Updates the Head of Production with the progress of supplies and any potential delays to minimize disruption to production.
- Manages a small team of Purchasing personnel.

**SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED**

**Experience**:

- Previous Purchasing and/ Procurement experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment

**Professional Skills**:

- Experience using stock management software and/ or ERP systems such as Odoo
- Proven experience in management and negotiation of supplier pricing
- Good computer literacy including Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word
- Ability to understand technical requirements for manufacture
- Previous management of a small team is an advantage

**Personal Skills**:

- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks at once
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills

Our products are used globally in Broadcast studios, Stadiums, Movie Sets and Photography studios to capture motion and stills.
