**We are looking to recruit two additional Income Recovery Officers following successful appointments within the team.**

**As part of the Income Team, you will ensure the effective collection and recovery of all rental income and debt owed to NDH by current and former tenants across a range of tenures.**

**The main responsibilities of the role are**:
***
- **To be responsible for the effective management of customer accounts, control and recovery of debts within a specific geographical area.**
***:

- **To find solutions to recover income due from customers and negotiate reasonable repayment agreements and provide budgeting advice to customers.**
***:

- **To take action in accordance with company policy, procedures and best practice to ensure that income is maximized and arrears of rent and other charges are kept to a minimum, sustaining tenancies.**
***:

- **Proactively identify complex cases and vulnerable customers, assess their circumstances and needs to negotiate repayments and give appropriate advice and guidance and make customer referrals to support services, where appropriate.**
***

**About You**:
***
- **You will have previous experience in housing association income collection or housing environment or a third sector debt support agency.**
***:

- **You will have a working knowledge of all welfare benefits with particular emphasis on Universal Credit and Housing Benefit regulations.**
***:

- **You will have good investigative and problem-solving skills to use own judgement and initiative to adapt decisions appropriately to individual situations.**
***:

- **You will be confident using a wide range of IT systems.**
***
