CK Group are recruiting for a Production Technician to join a specialist company providing inspection, calibration and testing services based in Staffordshire on a permanent basis.
You will be joining a dedicated team of chemists and will be involved in combining scientific and administrative competences to provide UKAS calibration gases and laboratory-based analytical/testing services to clients in the oil & gas industry worldwide.
**Salary**:
£23,000 per annum.
**Location**:
The Production Technician is based at the company's site in Staffordshire, easily commutable from Burton-on-Trent, Stafford, Stoke-on-Trent, Uttoxeter and Derby
**Production Technician Role**:
Your main duties will involve:

- Working as part of a team of production chemists in the production facility
- Production of gravimetrically prepared calibration gases according to ISO 6142 and ISO 17034
- Working with vacuum equipment, high pressure gas control equipment and systems
- Working strictly in accordance with approved methods and procedures
- Keeping records of all information of practical relevance to the manufacture of gravimetrically prepared gas mixture
- Assisting the quality management with the continual development and improvement of the production quality system
- Assisting with the regular maintenance and calibration of equipment used within the production facility.

**Your Background**:

- GCSE mathematics and science as a minimum, A-levels would be preferred and of benefit. A high level of numeracy would be required.
- A genuine interest in mathematics and science.
- Sound organisational ability with the capacity to work individually or within the team.
- Ability to follow an approved and documented procedure.
- Fork-lift truck license would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- A willingness to learn and continue to develop new skills.
