Are you looking for the next step in your career? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Dental Receptionist to join our busy family run, forward thinking and collaborative mixed NHS/private practice in Cheltenham.

**Role**

The receptionist role is key to our practice, ensuring the smooth running of the organisation and providing an excellent patient experience.

Main duties include:

- Being first point of contact for patients visiting or telephoning the practice, offering a friendly and professional welcome
- Dealing swiftly and effectively with queries
- Managing an extremely busy diary, handling recalls, cancellations and reattendance
- Constantly reviewing the diary, following up on cancellations and managing cancellation lists to bring appointments forward. (This can be challenging and you will need to remain calm under pressure and be methodical in your approach)
- Dealing with all administration and regulations involved in the patient journey such as mandatory checks, compliance and patient feedback processes
- Supporting the Practice Manager and clinical team with the smooth running of the practice, promptly dealing with clinician and patient queries according to practice protocols.

Organised, with a good eye for detail, you will have a “can-do” attitude and remain calm under pressure. You will be comfortable with multi-tasking and will thrive on being busy, working accurately and getting the job done to a high standard. A confident communicator, you will be able to deal with people sensitively and effectively. You will need to work collaboratively within the team and have a flexible approach to your work.
