**Working Pattern: 37 hours days**
**Working location: Derby Raynesway**
We have an exciting role to join our Submarines business as a Production Planner working within the New Build and Component teams. Our nuclear business is a leader in propulsion system design and development for the Royal Navy’s nuclear submarine fleet and the sole provider and technical authority, managing all aspects of plant design, safety, manufacture, performance, and through-life support.
Working within the Large Vessels control account team you will be wholly responsible for your defined portfolio of products & components (parts / items). You will drive on time delivery through effective planning whilst maintaining ERP and supporting systems. Working within an operational team you will identify, prioritize, mitigate, and resolve delivery issues within manufacturing and supply chain that may impact the customer. You will maintain the SAP planning system with relevant current data and information, whilst ensuring that any inventory is optimized. You are governed by the relevant company polices and processes.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home, or another remote location. **What you will be doing**:
With this exciting opportunity your main responsibilities will include:
- Ensure the manufacturing program requirements are clearly communicated thru the daily reviews and escalation is robustly followed.
- Ensure the SAP planning system is maintained with robust & credible data that creates suitable supply elements that support the delivery of the customers’ demands/ requirements.
- To work with the Heads of Planning (or equivalent, e.g. Master Schedulers) and schedulers to ensure that robust answers/solutions are given to any deviations from the manufacturing program.
- To have an appreciation of typical build structures of all parts in your portfolio and applicable associated Bills Of Materials (BOM's)
- Accountable for ERP compliance processes thereby ensuring robustness of plans by maintaining 13 week planning cycle within SAP.
- Key member of the IPT working with Design, Producibility and Project team members to identify any program constraints and risks with in the manufacturing schedules.

- Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of the business.
- Understanding of different roles / functions / processes (e.g. Manufacturing, Producibility, Design, Quality, Projects etc.).
- Experience of production planning and associated control processes is desirable but not essential.
- Working knowledge and experience of production or supply chain planning desirable but not essential.
- MS Office or equivalent working skills desirable but not essential.
- Previous planning and SAP knowledge not essential as training will be given, this is an exciting opportunity to gain valuable experience within a control account team environment.
