Countess of Chester maternity services are looking for two exceptional midwifery leaders to join our service and be part of our journey of improvement. As part of a cohesive and supportive management team, you will lead a team of midwives and support staff, providing operational leadership for a defined portfolio. The post holders will work with the wider senior multi-disciplinary team and senior clinical leads. There are two posts that we are recruiting to and candidates can express a preference either on their application or at interview: Matron for Inpatients (Full Time): The post holder will oversee the inpatient operations for maternity, supported by the Deputy Director of Midwifery and fellow matron. This post will be most suited to a candidate who enjoys day-to-day operational management and planning. The post holder will lead a team of band 7 clinical and operational leads. Matron for Outpatient Services(Full Time):: The post holder will lead the Outpatient teams and will have oversight of some of the specialist midwifery roles. The post is ideal for a candidate who wishes to gain broad experience of operational management and will be supported in their role by the Deputy Director of Midwifery and fellow matron. Development opportunities will be offered to the successful candidateS based on their needs and chosen future career pathway.
