Do you have a background in setting and operating CNC Machinery?
Are you looking for an exciting new position in a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility?
This could be the role for you
- Setting and operating computer controlled optical grinding/polishing machines (5 and 3 axis and 2 axis)
- Carrying out first off inspections using handheld gauges, Micrometers and Vernier’s and Optical metrology
- Engineering precision optical lenses and components, working to tight tolerances i.e.+/- 0.005 microns down to nanometres
- Maintain all production documentation as per the relevant procedures such as route cards, time sheets, traceable data logs and any other department related documents.
- The ability to set and operate CNC machinery, and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- The ability to read and edit programmes would be advantageous but not essential
- Having a detailed understanding of engineering drawing, tooling selection, work holding and cutting strategy
- Good with problem solving and results orientated
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Good manual handling skills
