Takeaway Assistant

**Job Overview**

**Barrs Takeaway** is looking for a new **Team Member** to join our busy and friendly shop at **176 Lecky Road, Derry**.

If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment; can provide great customer service; work well in a team and have experience working with food, -we’d love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing:

- Helping prepare and serve top quality takeaway food for our customers.
- Adhering to food safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Taking orders in person and over the phone with a friendly, positive attitude.
- Working at the till and calculating cash payments accurately.
- Keeping the kitchen and front of house clean and tidy throughout your shift.
- Performing a full clean down of equipment and service stations at the end of each shift.
- Assisting your team to make sure everything runs smoothly in high pressure situations.

What We’re Looking For:

- A good team player who enjoys working in a fast-moving environment.
- Someone who is reliable, friendly, and ready to learn.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred but not essential.
- A Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is required for this role, however if successful applicants don't possess this qualification we will put you through the necessary training and certification process.
- Successful applicants will be available to work evenings and every second weekend.
