This new initiative is designed to attract world-leading researchers from outside the UK who are ready to make a transformative contribution to the UK’s research and innovation (R&I) ecosystem. This is a unique opportunity to establish or expand your research programme in the UK, collaborate with world-class researchers, and contribute to national and global priorities.
**Who We’re Looking For**
We are seeking internationally-recognised research leaders who:
- Have an excellent track record of research excellence and leadership
- Are committed to advancing the UK’s R&I system
- Are currently based outside the UK and must not have been UK residents for the last 24 months
- Are ready to relocate and build a long-term research presence in the UK
**Research Areas of Strategic Interest**
- ** Clean Technologies**: Net zero innovation, sustainable energy, circular economy
- ** Life Sciences**: Genomics, precision medicine, bioengineering, and health data science
- ** AI and Digital**: Machine learning, robotics, digital health, and cybersecurity
- ** Defence and Advanced Manufacturing**: Secure systems, autonomous platforms, materials innovation, next-generation manufacturing technologies
