**About Our Client**:

- Handle all aspects of the sales ledger process, including invoice creation and dispatch.
- Ensure timely collection of payments from customers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records.
- Reconcile sales ledger accounts to ensure all payments are accounted for and correctly posted.
- Resolve any discrepancies or queries relating to customer accounts.
- Prepare regular reports on sales ledger status and activity.
- Support the wider Accounting & Finance team with ad hoc tasks as required.
- Keep abreast of relevant regulations and legislation impacting the retail sector.
- Conduct regular checks and postings of cash receipts, accurately allocating payments to the appropriate customer accounts.
- Sales Invoicing/EDI:
- Generate and process sales invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Review/Send Out Weekly Statements
- Collaborate with internal teams, particularly the commercial department, to address and resolve customer claims and disputes effectively.
- Approve and Raise Processor Invoices (Weight Returns):
- Review and authorise processor invoices, this includes checking weight returns for accuracy and resolving queries with internal and external customers.
- Collate Aging Reports for Weekly Debtor Meetings:
**The Successful Applicant**:
A successful Sales Ledger Clerk should have:
- Experience with sales ledger processes and customer account management.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
